Lieutenant Junior Grade Shrirao Sh'veqan was informed by the first officer Major Griffiths to report to the Captain's ready room at 0900 hours. The Andorian female brushed her hair and put on her face, Her uniform was rather tight-fitting her rather buxom but athletic form.

She had heard through the grapevine that there was an incident with Lieutenant Tree Woods her boss but she hadn't been informed exactly what happened. She was a junior officer after all and spent most of her time below decks, training new security officers and training with the new TR-120 projectile rifle. Shira, as she liked to be called by her friends, had been in Pennsylvania for two years now. Had transferred over from the JAG on starbase 11 before being chosen for starship duty. She was a very well trained lawyer and judicial investigator. She knew Federation Law and most interpretations of it. Perhaps that was why she was chosen for this mission to the delta quadrant.

The trip through the Graviton Catapult set her teeth on edge and gave her the migraine from hell. Andorian's were more sensitive to gravitational disturbances than the good doctors thought.

Shri'rao finished putting herself together and took the turbo-lift to the bridge. She straightened her uniform and walked onto the bridge and nodded at Major Griffiths who acknowledged her presence.

At precisely 0900, Shira pressed the buzzer to the Captain's ready room.

"Enter," said the Captain.

Shri'rao did exactly that and reported herself to him.

"Lieutenant Junior Grade Shrirao Sh'veqan reporting as ordered Sir. Major Griffiths said you wanted to see me?" Shira said.

"Yes I do Lieutenant Junior Grade Shrirao Sh'veqan," Frank picked up a small box that contained Lieutenant pips from his desk. "Congratulations Lieutenant Shrirao Sh'veqan, you have been promoted," Frank said as he showed her the new, shiny LT pips. "We could hold a formal ceremony if you wish at the Feast next week, but in the meantime, you will also be taking on the duties of Chief of Security. Your former department heads left glowing reviews about you in your service record, I believe it is only fitting that you receive a promotion."

Shrirao's antennae went up straight with a look of surprise.

"Thank you, Captain, I will do my best. If I may ask what happened to Lieutenant Woods"?

"He was transferred back to Iota Station, they want to beef up the security there due to the increased Hirogen activity."

"Hirogen are very dangerous characters, I'm sure they will put his expertise to good use, Sir." Shrirao replied.

“I know they will, in the meantime you are the chief now. Our First Officer has been authorized to form a new response team in order to be ready for new threats.”

"I will make very effort to assist her with that project Sir" Shri'Rao said.

“Thank you, I look forward to working with you and watching you grow in your new role. If you ever need assistance or have questions, feel free to contact me, my door is always open,” Frank responded.

"Good to know, Sir. Im sure I will avail myself of your experience often". Shri'Rao said.

"Are there any further questions or concerns you may have, Lieutenant?"

"No Sir, I think that just about covers it for now". Shri'Rao replied.

"Thank you Lieutenant and Congratulations on your new role," Frank said as he stood to shake her hand.

Shri'Rao took the Captains hand and shook it. An odd human custom that conveyed so much.

"Thank You Sir".
