Checking in Meeting the Reverend Counselor

Jane cleaned the office up extra well today. The new Counselor had been announced as arriving on the last shuttle from the Iota station for this evening and she wanted things to look nice for his arrival. She had sent a message to him with directions to her office. She had all his personal information sorted out and was ready to show him around and get him settled in. She looked over her welcome basket one more time. Some chocolate cookies, blue berry muffins, a bottle of sparkling cider, some candles and incents. A book of assorted poetry and short stories. She adjusted the little welcome card on the front and smiled as she glanced at her watch again.

Just when when she thought he wasn't coming in the new counselor arrives "I am looking for ensign Jane Doe I'm your new counselor / chaplin " he replies" I am glad to be aboard this fine vessel its way bigger then my last ship"

Jane smiled brightly up at him. He was cute. She noted big and broad like Wolfy. "I am so glad you made it I was beginning to worry. I am Jane Doe the acting chief counselor. Pleasurer to finally meet you. Please let me help you with your things we can put them in your room. Its down the hall in room 118. Come on ill show you!" She said brightly reaching out to grab a bag from him she lead the way a few doors down to a similar office / private room. "This will be your work area, and where you will hold your mass or other meetings. We also have access to holodeck 2 from 0800 to 2200 hours on a seven day cycle. So if you have any ideas or things you might want to do on there and Ill get it okayed through Ops." She finally stopped for breath. "Any questions so far?"


"I noticed a lot of personnel files on your desk is it time for yearly psychological evaluations if so I could help you get them knocked out if you would like " smiling at the other ensign and current boss

"Oh no no I already have those finished. The Padds are for the clubs I run and a few classes I am taking. side business. But you are more then happy to help with any of it. More the merrier. I do have a few cases that I thought might be good for you to tackle and we can sit down and discuss them over dinner if you like. My friend Wolfy is catching up on some works and well Id love to have you as company." She said politely, glad she had been able to bring up the invitation.

"That would be great what time and are you sure wolfy won't be jealous? When you said 'friend' your voice got really high I am guess he is your boy friend . I can't have too much drama being new on the ship and all " Thinking to himself so I really have a shot .

Janes face turned pink. "Yeah, I guess he is my boyfriend. Its just such a new idea to me. I never had one before so is going to take some getting use too. But No, he wont mind. I have dinner and lunch and coffee and stuff all time with people. He knows he can trust me. So Dinner I can treat you at the lounge and we can go over things. At say 1930 hours? Or would you like more time to settle first. Oh wait before I forget!" She smiled sweetly. "The replicator is over there behind your desk. it has a three digit lock code you can put into it. To keep anyone dangerous from accessing it and hurting themselves with anything." She step over to it and accessed the main program then stepped aside so he could input his code.


He puts in his code, and then writes it down on a piece of scratch pad that was on his desk . Rips it's off and hands it to Doe and says "plz put this somewhere I have a tendency of forgetting things and also dress uniform or just regular uniform "

"causal" She said taking the note she tucked it into her pocket to not lose it. "and no worries if I didn't write everything down id be a mess myself." Jane motioned to the door a few feet away. "your private quarters theres a privet bathroom in there. with a sonic shower but it can be set for water if you prefer. You should have spare bedding in the closet, i hung some towels and things in the bathroom. you can replicate anything else you need. "


" Well thank you I feel very welcome on this ship and I Will see you in few hrs I need to ready " said Ensign Bailey "I was making sure you said 1930 right "

"Thats right Ill swing by and pick you up." She said with a smile "1930 hours"

"I will be waiting for " he replied back with a smile

Jane was out the door then. She walked into her office and hen stopped to look at the colorful basket still sitting on her table. "Oh Geeeze I am such a goose," She said to the empty room. As she walked over to it. She had forgotten to give it to him. She frowned. She'd give it to him after dinner, she told herself. Then with a nod of affirment she went to check her schedule.
