"Crew of the USS Pennsylvania, I'd like to thank you all for coming to the Feast of Thanks. Before we begin I'd like to say a few things, I promise I won't be long, I don't want to eat cold food either," Frank said with a laugh. "It's been a trying few weeks aboard the Penn and I believe there will be more ahead, but I want us to take the time today to enjoy the friends and crew who have become like a family. I'd like to congratulate our newest Lieutenant, the new Chief of Security, Lieutenant Sh'veqan. Lieutenant Woods was recalled to Iota Station to address security matters there. Lastly, I'd like to congratulate Lieutenant Commander Arianna Sky-Kamar on her recent marriage to yours truly. Thank you again now let's eat," Frank said as he sat down beside Hannah and Arianna.

*smiling* "WOO WOO!" Griffiths exclaimed loudly, she had been in on the wedding details, but she was still happy for the Captain, he was also brave his wife was half-Klingon, she hoped the "old Man" could handle the energy his new wife had as she applauded with the others.

Kevin applauded along with others the speech the Captain had given. He was very new to Pennsylvania, and knew no-one on board, except Karadis his Assistant Chief, so the feeling of 'family' wasn't there for him, his crew family were all dead, killed by The Collective. He's tried to keep his hollow feelings in check as he reached for the glass of water in front of him, taking a sip and placing it back on the table, he looked up and saw one of his best friends, Chief Ash Williams, her uniform in tatters. Kevin smiled at Ash, and a tear slowly made it's way down his left cheek. She began to smile back as her form slowly began to fade away and then she was gone.

James laughed and yelled congratulations that were lost in the sea of voices and applause. He raised a glass in a makeshift toast and took a drink. A good way to start the feast.

Arianna was hesitant but didn't show it. It was new to her being finally announced as the captain's wife. Her whole department knew of her romance with the captain but kept it under wraps for the sake of their boss. She was proud of her captain, now her husband. Standing, she tapped her glass for everyone's attention. Finally getting their attention, "I want to say that this feast was observed on Earth as a traditional gathering of family to give thanks for the bounty of the Earth. In that tradition, I wish to say that the crew of the Penny have been a close-knit family and I pray that we will all remain so in the years to come. To our family and yours, Good Feast of Thanks!", she said holding her glass high.

Holding up a glass of Bajoran spring wine Naomi returned the toast.

Lt Sh'veqan raised her glass to join the toast solemnly. "Here here". She was drinking Andorian Ale.

Yarinna raised her glass, "Here, here!"

After the cheers Frank sat and began to eat, he tried several different dishes including a festive Ferengi drink prepared for Ambassador Frel. A few minutes later he suddenly felt ill. “Arianna, something is wrong, I don’t feel,” before he could finish the sentence the world began to shrink and spin at the same time. The last thing Frank remembered was Arianna’s voice like his he fell forward and his face landed hard on his plate.

"Frank!!!! Captain!!!!........." Arianna yelled lifting his head gently from his plate. He was unconscious but breathing thankfully. Looking around she spied the Doctor. "Doctor Trallos please.......what's happened?", she said looking very worried.

James was laughing with a crewman over a joke that had been told when he heard Arianna scream for him. He looked over with a mouth full of mashed potatoes and saw her standing over a body. James made eye contact with one of his nurses and gave a nod and jumped out of his chair and ran over. As he reached the Captain.

"Captain Kamar, can you hear me?" He asked looking over his head to toe and taking his wrist, silently counting and feeling his pulse. It was fast but strong. The nurse ran up to him with a tricorder from a supply locker. He took a quick scan and confirmed he was still breathing. He looked up to the nurse. "Let's get him to Sickbay." James glanced up to Arianna. "What happened before he collapsed?"

" He told me that he wasn't feeling well and he started to say something else and he just collapsed", Arianna said scared to death but remaining calm. She had to it was her job and this was her husband and commanding officer.

Quickly putting her drink down and tapping her Commbadge "Griffith's to Medical, prepare for the arrival of the Captain"

"On our way Major." the com responded. A moment later two medics rushed in from the main doors, this decks on call medics. They rushed over to the Captain and seeing the doctor, handed over their med kits. One rushed to get an anti-grav lift. James pulled a hypo and gave a quick injection after a second scan.

She looked at Sh'veqan "Lieutenant, secure that Ferengi drink and get forensics working on what it was that caused this!" Griffith's ordered. "Doctor get the Captain to Medical, everyone else returns to your quarters, the feast is over, I am classing this as a crime scene, any further queries can go through Lieutenant Sh'veqan" Griffiths added.

"Aye Sir", Shri'Rao replied.

James was about to say something when he saw a crewman collapse on the floor. "Chief!" James yelled and pointed at the down crewman. A nearby Ensign was looking a little pale as well. A quick thought of thanks ran through his mind that he had the Chief available for department support. Appropriate for the now over the feast.

"Major, this may not be isolated to the Captain. Send anyone who collapses to the Port Sickbay and anyway awake and moving that is feeling sick to the starboard sickbay. Lieutenant Sh'veqan, I need a sample of every dish of food that was here sent to the med lab. The Chief and I will need to analyze all of it to see if it was a single isolated dish, one bad replication or something in everything."

He stood up as a crew came over with an anti-gravity lift and put the captain on it. James gave a nod to his nurse who went over to comfort Hannah. "I'll keep you posted on status and number of affected. Send any senior officers to Port Sickbay and I'll look them over, even if they just think it's nothing."

Shri'Rao was on her feet instantly alert for mischief. Looking around for anyone else that passed out. She put her glass down on the table. Still holdong the Captains.

"What is the status of the Captain"? Shri"rao asked.

"I do not know yet Lieutenant, but we need to clear out everyone from this room" Griffiths responded.

Shri'Rao weighed her options. "Nobody touches a thing! We need to do an analysis of the crime scene, indeed if that is what this is."

With that done and the senior staff leaving "I have got to change, Lieutenant Sh'veqan whatever you need and what resources you want, they are yours. I just hope it was a simple allergic reaction to the Ferengi Drink, oh, you might want to find out about the drink from Frel, if the drink was meant for him, he may have been the target of an assassination attempt" Griffiths said.

"Yes Ma'am I'll coordinate from here". Lt Sh'veqan replied.

Shri'Rao called security and ordered a forensic analysis team to the feast to investigate.

Doing as ordered, Kevin left where they'd been having the feast and returned to his quarters. He sat down and began thinking about everything that had happened so quickly, he wasn't entirely sure what had gone on apart from the fact the Captain and some other crew members had collapsed and something about a Ferengi drink meant for someone called Frel. He had drunk a glass of the Ferengi drink but hadn't felt any different. He did feel a little thirsty so stood up intending to go to his replicator for a glass of water. As he began walking forward his vision started to swim and he felt extremely light-headed. Stumbling a bit, he grabbed a nearby chair and tried to steady himself, but his hand-eye coordination was well off and he missed the chair and stumbled onwards crashing into the chair and then banging his head on the bulkhead wall.

His breathing was very laboured, coming in short gasps and panic now set in. He frantically tried to claw his COMM badge but it wasn't on his uniform anymore having been knocked off when he stumbled into the chair and crashed to the floor. Desperately feeling around the floor beside him for his badge, he eventually managed to see it through his now rapidly blurring vision, but it was several feet away. Falling face-first onto the floor, he reached out for it, his breathing now extremely laboured. His strength was failing him as he reached out for the badge, and as his fingertips reached it, he blacked out...

Arianna was glad she did not drink anything period. She barely had tasted the food when Frank collapsed. What the hell went wrong? Remembering that the replicators had problems, she had a horrible thought go through her mind.

*speaking up so those remaining could hear "okay as I have said this is a crime scene and those who do not need to be here you need to leave, oh Doctor before you go to Medical I want you, Grun to work to find out the what and why, then coordinate with the Lieutenant here *indicating Sh'veqan* who will find out the who and when, got it?" She said, "I will get changed and return to the bridge keep me updated and let me know when the Captain is awake again and lockdown any shuttles that were due to leave same for transporters, I do not want any leaks on this understood!" She added.

"No leaks Yes Sir!" Shri'Rao replied.

"Understand the Major," James said and hurried off to follow the Captain on the lift.

"Excellent, I shall leave you all to do your jobs," Griffiths said and ushered out the few remaining people still lingering, she got to the door and as it opened she turned to look at the Andorian as the Doctor had since left to tend to the sick "Oh Lieutenant, when you have gotten things into motion, bring Ambassador Frel to the CRR along with yourself, if the drink was a present for him and he decided to share it with the rest, I suspect he was the intended target, so get him and yourself to the CRR when things are underway" she added.

"Understood Major". Shri'Rao said.

Soon the forensic's team arrived, Shri'Rao gave them the Captains drink for analysis and told them to check everything, food drinks plates utensils even the chairs and tables. Something affected the Captain and she would leave no stone unturned. If it didn't poison it could have been an allergen, Ferengi was known for such things. Shri'Rao knew that was a bit obvious and if this was a malicious attack it could also be what the Humans called a frame job. She would do as instructed and interview Ambassador Frel as instructed.

[Griffith's Quarters]

After arriving back at her quarters Naomi took no time to change into her uniform before leaving it and heading straight to the CRR, she had a Padd with her and was determined to find out what exactly happened. A long walk and some turbolift rides later she walked out onto the top deck where the CRR was located.
