Flight Readiness

Captain Taggart entered the office area of the Second Officer or 2XO, who was also the main Helmsman. He was beginning the first of his inspections as a Captain. "Hello Commander Rouni," he said as he entered the space, "At ease, this is an informal inspection. I'm just trying to learn a bit about the ship and her crew."

Rouni replied, "We have full fight control right now. However our top speed is Warp 7. We were planning to see if we could salvage some parts from damaged ships in the area to finalize our full repairs. However we do have Shields and weapons working, Captain."

Taggart nodded, and made a note on his PADD, "Thank you, Commander. How are things going here in your department? How many of your officers have been trained and qualified to stand the helm watch?"

"Everything is doing great. I have all my helm officers qualified to do their duties on the helm and have also personally checked out all the shuttle pilots as well. Everyone in ready for action. I have 5 relief officers ready if needed to man the helm plus myself and there are also 12 shuttle pilots qualified to fly the shuttles." , replied Rouni.

"Excellent work, is there anything that you feel that I as the captain should be aware of?" Taggart asked

Rouni replied, " I have found several locations where there are damaged ships that may offer the parts we need. The locations are noted on this padd and not all are inown locations. Some qre scuttle but I over heard at the space station. But could deserve a look qnyway"

As she passed the padd to Captain Tqggart.

"Thank you for the information. I will review it this evening. As the 2XO what do you feel is the biggest problem aboard the ship?" Dirk asked.

Rouni replied,"Well Captain have full warp capabilities would allows us to respond to any situation we may encounter. And if we had by a Borg cube by accident. It could enable us to be able to defend the Penn from and attack by them.

Eight biw exceeding warp 7 causes extremely hard shaking and would futher damage the ship.

"I will be discussing that with our engineers this afternoon, if there is nothing else I will take my leave, do you can enjoy your shore leave." Dirk stood and turned to leave the office.

Rouni replied, "Aye Sir" As she stood uo.
