"Computer location of Major Griffiths?"

Major Griffiths is in her office. the computer replied.

Shri'Rao had many questions about what was going on, so after her shift ended she went to the XO's office to ask Naomi what was going on.

She buzzed the buzzer on the XO's door.

Taking a moment from bridge duty Naomi returned to her office which doubled as her quarters and was finalizing things when the door buzzer sounded.

"Enter Lieutenant," she said looking at her monitor which she had tied into the visual sensors outside her door.

The Security Chief entered the XO's office. "What's going on Commander? Is the Captain in trouble?" Shri'Rao asked.

Putting aside what she was doing she sat back "please have a seat Lieutenant," Griffiths said and continued "as for what the hell is going on I have no idea, the Admiral would not tell me, I like her, she is a feisty one, I have faced tougher," Griffiths said then added "I know my rank is equal to a Lieutenant Commander, but it is Major," she said with a smile.

May'jor she pronounced with a heavy Andorian accent.

Shri'Rao took a seat.

"My apologies May'Jor. If you don't know whats going on then who is in command?" Shri'Rao asked.

"It seems that I am currently in command until we reach Tabula Rasa, where-upon docking our new CO will come aboard a Captain Taggart if I recall, he is being brought here by the Astrea" she pauses "so until then I am as much in the dark on what is happening as everyone else is" the Major answered with a resigned sigh "reminds me of my ground pounding days, we were only told what we needed to know to get the job done, but this I just wish I knew why the Captain got arrested" she added shrugging.

Shri'Rao's antennae wavered and then sort of slumped. "Very Well May'jor, What are your orders?" Shri 'Rao asked.

"Continue on with your normal tasks, until told otherwise, we still have to get to our destination and we both know anything can happen between here and there, and I am sure we will find out why the Captain was arrested in due course," she said.

"I will comply with your directives, May'Jor." Shri'Rao said.

"Excellent Lieutenant, thank you *pauses* is there anything else that is on your mind Lieutenant?" She asked curiously as to if there was something else.

"Well, I just wanted to advise you that the Moral of the crew seems a little low at this time. Most are shocked by what happened and I just wanted to make you aware of that." Shri'Rao said.

"Thank you, Lieutenant, I got a hint of that myself and I share the crew's shock, I was on the bridge when the Captain was arrested and the Admiral's lips are tighter than a Ferengi's Latinum vault," Griffiths said with a little chuckle "Makes me remember the old days where you were told what you needed to know, but I feel that something is different with these current events" she added.

"It is difficult to tell when one doesn't possess anything in the way of relevant information," Shri'Rao said.

"You are preaching to the choir sister!" Griffiths said hoping the Andorian would get the terminology, "still it is harder on our CEO, it is her husband that was arrested after all, so there is that" she shrugged.

"I am wondering why they didn't replace her as well, could it have been an oversight?" Shri'Rao asked.

Shakes her head "I do not think so, the sad truth is we may never know the full truth, but you are Security, you must have channels that you can use to find out why!" Griffiths suggested. "May I offer you a drink?" she asked "sorry forgot my manners" she added.

"I wouldn't say no to some hot ginger root tea, May'Jor." Shri'Rao said.

"I have contacted some of my contacts but so far they don't know," Shri'Rao added.

Griffiths sighed "such is life, I have contacts of my own but I cannot get to them as they are assigned to other tasks and are unable," she said standing and walking over to the replicator "One mug of hot ginger root tea and one cup of hot joe standard NATO" she said and the moment they appeared she picked them up and as she returned to her desk she handed the Security Chief her tea and sat down and took a sip of hers. "I take it you think there is more to this Kamar thing than what is suspected then?" She asked after taking a sip and putting her mug on a coaster.

"Yes but anything I could or would say is sheer speculation," Shri'Rao said sipping her tea.

Considering the response Naomi nodded "logical conclusion Lieutenant, I suppose we will never know will we?" Griffiths responded with a question.

"Everything will come out with time May'jor.." Shri'Rao said.
