Time for a treat.

James straightened his vest and shirt. He felt he was looking good tonight. He had his best slacks on, a sharp and crisp dress shirt, matching tie and best. He trimmed his beard and made sure his hair was as it should be. It was a long week but he was feeling good and looking good. He checked the time, 1750. He was even running on time. It was going to be a good night. He left his quarters and made his way to the turbolift.
"Deck 10." He said with a smile. He felt the turbolift move and his smile grew as it slowed to the deck. Heading to the forward of the deck, he grinned as he saw the main doors of the Broad Axe Lounge. He checked the time once more, 1759. He was exactly on time. He had a date and nothing would stop him.
He walked through the door and made his way to the bar and ordered a tall ale. The bartender was generous with the pour. He was excited, all the better. He placed the beer on an empty table to reserve it. He then made his way over to the replicator and ordered his meal and made his way back. It had a small napkin cover over it. He took it off after he sat down and got comfortable.
"Why hello there. It's been a while. I've missed you." James said in a loving tone. He smiled as he looked lovingly at a plate of chicken fried chicken with a brown gravy, mashed potatoes, hot biscuits and butter. "It's just you and me tonight though." He whispered to himself and took a bite, eyes closing as he enjoyed the old flavors. Just like his mother used to make. A little taste of home. Oh yes, tonight was going to be a good night.
