| General Overview | Unusual for a Joined Trill, Emony is a security officer who enjoys her work. Raised by Trill traders operating on Luna, Emony enjoyed being thrown head first into the various cultures in the Federation. She wanted to join Starfleet, but her parents submitted her name to the Symbiosis Commission. She was selected by Kyl, who selected her because her inquisitive and protective nature. Now she is a dogged investigator and protector. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Emony is observant, good with others, and capable in a fight. She can also be quite direct and serious in an interrogation, but tends to let others work themselves into a hole with inconsistencies. However, Emony is still trying to come to terms with the fact she is host to another being. Kyl is not overbearing, but finding themselves and trying to establish boundaries does tend to take its toll. She can abruptly become introverted and isolated, as a result of needing to re-center herself and Kyl. In her work, she often can throw herself into it and need to be told to scale back and make time for herself. |

| Hobbies & Interests | In her free time, Emony does enjoy painting, building sailing ship models, and going on nature hikes - either real or on the holodeck. When she does need to isolate and center herself, Emony often will just take on a quiet meditation, either in her quarters or in quiet serene locations on the holodeck. In groups, Emony enjoys just spending time with her friends, trying things they like to do. She also likes trying different foods that her friends grew up with or enjoy. |
Character Bio
| Personal History | Born in New Berlin, Luna in 2359, Emony grew up in a family of Trill traders operating out of Sol. While one parent or another would be away for some trade mission or another, she still had a stable childhood. Growing up on Luna was an enjoyable experience. Meeting various races in school, she was often the kind of person who stood up to bullies and got in some trouble doing so. She was active in athletics as well. When she came of age, Emony was surprised when she received an acceptance letter from the Trill Symbiosis Commission - she was to be host to a symbiote. Two years after acclimatizing to Kyl, her symbiote, she was accepted into Starfleet Academy, her original goal. She went into Security and Tactical, proving she had a mind for investigation and de-escalation of hostile situations. She graduated almost smack dab in the middle of her class, and was assigned to the USS Kyoto. Her time on the Kyoto was largely quiet, but this would change when she was transferred to the USS Io. She would end up cutting her teeth dealing with the upswing of piracy along the Romulan border. This involved dealing with smugglers, slavers, and other high risk/low intensity situations, but it only served to reinforce that she wanted to do this sort of thing - protect those who could not protect themselves. While serving on the USS Polaris, she was unfortunately on the wrong end of a Breen raiding party. The Polaris was attacked and boarded, but her quick and clear thinking minimized casualties and damage to the Polaris. Her actions saw commendations go into her file and earned her a promotion and transfer to the Pennsylvania sooner than expected. |
