Work on the Penn continues. We managed to repair life support and and get the fires under control. Work on the computer core continues. Supplies and personnel continue to arrive. Most of the injured have been beamed away to support ships.This has given me time to start analyzing the attack on our ship from the Kazon Ogla. They used what the engineers are calling an inverse interphasic photonic particles that not only saturated the shields but was able to infiltrate the structural integrity field and access the optical data network setting up a virus that overloaded the computer core and caused a cascade failure which shorted out the most of the ODN conduits. These particles set in series also damage isolinear chips. The Pennsylvania being a Nebula class starship has three computer cores. Each core took major damage. Both engineering and ops personnel have been working no stop to get the cores back to fully operational. I have to give credit where credit is due. Our officers and enlisted personnel have performed above and beyond the call of duty during this crisis. Our chief engineer will need a lot of TLC in the coming days. Dr. Trallos did his usual outstanding job and repaired her injuries. We are headed for the closest star base in the area. It will still take a week to get there, approximately 96 hours.
